At age 15,  Jeana Dunphy visited Mexico and Guatemala. This began a love affair with Mexico and travel that has lasted a lifetime.

Jeana pursued a career in ballet,dancing with the San Francisco Ballet and as owner and director of her own ballet school and ballet company for 25 years. She always took time, over the years, to travel the world. In 1999, she  began a career in the tourism/travel industry.

Since that time she has been a Cruise Director with Holland America and Cruise West and a Tour Director for Collette Vacations, Cruise West and Uncommon Journeys, leading tours in 5 countries

Jeana's experience in Mexico is vast. She has traveled in 28 of the 31 Mexican states and led 20 plus tours into Copper Canyon.

In San Miguel de Allende, she began her first year of living in Mexico as an "expat".   She has been living in Puerto Vallarta for over a decade.

John Hamlin

John Hamlin has been an IFC member for 9 years, during which time he has been involved in the IFC Home Tours. He is highly experienced in the tour and travel industry, having worked in the hotel sector for 25 years.  John has also worked with RCCL in Vancouver.

John Lockington

John Lockington is also a long-standing member of the IFC, where he helped organize and facilitate the Home Tours.  He has worked with Holland America Cruise Lines for a number of years.

Partnerships:

Founded in 1987, the International Friendship Club (IFC) is a volunteer organization of expatriots from around the world.  More than 400 members enjoy both the social as well as charitable functions of the IFC, and assist many worthy causes in Puerto Vallarta.

Among these charities are Becas scholarships, City of the Dump and the Cleft Palate surgery program, which was created by the IFC.  Fund raising efforts include the highly successful Home Tours.

The IFC has been granted Registered Charitable Status by the Mexican government.

In 2008 Beyond Vallarta Tours joined with the IFC to offer tours to various parts of Mexico.  Proceeds from these trips financially assist charities supported by the IFC.
